Lady GaGa leads winners list of this year's World Music Awards which took place at the Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco on May 18. The "Poker Face" hitmaker scooped five gongs, including the Best Selling Artist From America.

GaGa won World's Best Single over David Guetta, Beyonce Knowles and Black Eyed Peas. She beat BEP once again in World's Best Album in addition to Susan Boyle and Taylor Swift. Additionally, she is crowned World's Best Pop/Rock Artist after battling against Swift, Madonna and Rihanna.

Her fifth trophy was collected from World's Best New Artist. This time round, the dance queen prevented Canadian teen singer Justin Bieber, "Tik Tok" hitmaker Ke$ha and Britain's singing sensation Boyle from taking the prize.

Although Black Eyed Peas lost World's Best Single and Album to GaGa, the will.i.am's group managed to sweep three nods in other categories. They received World's Best Pop, Pop/Rock and Hip-Hop Artist prizes. As for Boyle, she also managed to snatch an honor as she is named Best Selling Artist From Great Britain.

Other musicians scoring multiple trophies were U2 and David Guetta. Special honorees, meanwhile, were Jennifer Lopez and Scorpions who received Outstanding Contribution to the Arts and Rock Legends respectively.
