Apart from announcing the contenders for theatrical motion pictures, Producers Guild of America also unveils TV shows running for a prize at the 2009 awards event. Taking a slot in the nominees list this year are among others, ABC's "Lost" and FOX's TV movie "24: Redemption".

"Lost" is put under Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television-Drama along with "Damages", "Dexter", "Boston Legal" and "Mad Men". Meanwhile, as the nominee of Producer of the Year Award in Long-Form Television, "24: Redemption" which is based on the popular TV series "24", will have to fight against "John Adams", "Recount", "Bernard and Doris" and also "A Raisin in the Sun".

Some noted producers who have been contributing in the series as an actor or host as well are Tina Fey for "30 Rock", Heidi Klum for "Project Runway" and Kathy Griffin for non-fiction television, "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List".

The 20th Annual Producers Guild Awards will hand out its prizes at a ceremony held in Los Angeles on January 24. The listed nominees will serve as one last nudge to the considerations of Oscar nominees which ballot is wrapped up on January 12. Nominees for the Oscars will be announced on January 22.

• The Danny Thomas Producer of the Year Award In Episodic Television - Comedy: "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Entourage", "The Office", "30 Rock" and "Weeds".
• Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television-Drama: "Boston Legal", "Damages", "Dexter", "Lost" and "Mad Men".
• Producer of the Year Award in Non-Fiction Television: "Deadliest Catch", "Frontline", "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List", "60 Minutes" and "This American Life".
• Producer of the Year Award in Live Entertainment and Competition Television: "The Amazing Race", "The Colbert Report", "Project Runway", "Real Time with Bill Maher" and "Top Chef".
• David L. Wolper Producer of the Year Award in Long-Form Television: "24: Redemption", "Bernard and Doris", "John Adams", "A Raisin in the Sun" and "Recount".
