'MTV Staying Alive' Picks Up 'The Diary of Kelly Rowland'

MTV network will mark its 10th anniversary of 'MTV Staying Alive' by airing an-hour long documentary by Destiny's Child founding member, Kelly Rowland.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Rowland takes part on MTV's AIDS awareness campaign. Recent reports have claimed that Rowland's video diary entitled "The Diary of Kelly Rowland" will be used by MTV to mark the 10th anniversary of its AIDS awareness campaign, known as "MTV Staying Alive".

In the video, the Destiny's Child alum travels to South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and the United States to meet young people who are affected by HIV/AIDS and those trying to educate people about the risks. "The Diary of Kelly Rowland" can be watched at Staying Alive on December 1, which is World AIDS Day.

In addition, MTV network has announced the 2009 ambassador of Staying Alive Foundation, that is the lead singer of hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes, Travis McCoy.

"MTV Staying Alive" has been launched since 1998 and has worked together with celebrities, like Beyonce Knowles, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, and P. Diddy, to educate young people about the risks of HIV and AIDS and to encourage them to talk about it as well.
