Paul George, known to basketball fans by his nickname "PG-13", established himself as one of the premier two-way talents in the National Basketball Association, a nine-time All-Star whose career is a testament to resilience and elite performance. Born Paul Clifton Anthony George Sr. on May 2, 1990, in Palmdale, California, he grew up in a sports-oriented family, the son of Paul George Sr. and Paulette George. His journey to NBA stardom began at Knight High School, where his athletic prowess began to shine, leading him to play college basketball for the Fresno State Bulldogs.

His professional career commenced when the Indiana Pacers selected him with the 10th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft. After earning NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors, George's breakout season arrived in 2012-13, when he was named the NBA's Most Improved Player, earned his first All-Star selection, and led the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals, cementing his status as a franchise cornerstone. His ascent, however, was dramatically interrupted in the summer of 2014 when he suffered a catastrophic compound leg fracture during a scrimmage for the United States national team, an injury that threatened his career.

Defying expectations, George mounted a remarkable recovery, returning to play in the final six games of the 2014-15 season. He not only regained his All-Star form but elevated his game, earning All-Star honors again in 2016 and helping Team USA win a gold medal at the Rio Olympics that same year. After seven seasons with Indiana, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017, where he formed a potent partnership with Russell Westbrook and enjoyed one of his finest individual seasons, finishing third in MVP voting in 2019.

In a major offseason move in 2019, George was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers to join forces with Kawhi Leonard, creating an immediate championship contender. During his five seasons with the Clippers, he helped lead the franchise to its first-ever Western Conference Finals appearance in 2021, though the team was consistently challenged by injuries. A six-time All-NBA and four-time All-Defensive Team selection, George's reputation as a prolific scorer and lockdown defender remained intact throughout his tenure in Los Angeles. In the summer of 2024, Paul George entered a new chapter in his illustrious career, signing as a free agent with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he aims to pursue an NBA championship alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
