Washington's portrayal of the talented surgeon not only showcased his acting prowess but also positioned him as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
Washington's career began to take shape in the 1990s when he collaborated with acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee on several projects, including the critically acclaimed films Crooklyn (1994), Clockers (1995), Girl 6 (1996), and Get on the Bus (1996). His performances in these films helped to establish him as a credible actor and opened doors to more significant roles.
