When Alan/Jeff Strongman tries to end things with Gretchen, she tells him Larry and Lyndsey are away for the weekend and they end up sleeping together. Larry and Lyndsey come back early and catch them together, and Larry is excited about the pairing while Lyndsey is furious with Alan. Larry, Lyndsey, Alan and Gretchen go on a double date that results in Alan and Lyndsey arguing in private. To his surprise, Lyndsey starts kissing him. Meanwhile, Walden realizes Barry has no intention of moving out and helps him find an apartment. Barry admits he does not like living alone and continues to spend his time at the beach house. Walden decides to escape to Barry's empty new apartment to have his privacy.
