When Walden tries to ask Nicole out to dinner, she refuses and explains that she needs to finish writing code for her thought-recognition project. Walden counters by bringing her a romantic candlelit picnic dinner and offering to help her with the work. Despite their palpable sexual tension, they manage to finish the thought-recognition headbands. Walden and Nicole celebrate by having sex with the headbands on. Meanwhile, Alan goes to the movies by himself and runs into Lyndsey and Larry at the theatre. Larry suggests setting him up with his coworker Gwen and arranges a double date for them all. On the date, Gwen takes them all to a swingers’ party. Jeff Probst happens to be at the party and ends up sleeping with Lyndsey while Alan is stuck with Jeff's grandmother.
