Contrary to popular belief, Ana (Eva Longoria) is totally okay with learning Xavi (Jencarlos Canela) has a serious girlfriend, Kelly (Fiona Gubelmann). In fact, she even offers to help Xavi choose a present for their four-month anniversary. To get to know Kelly better, Ana invites her and Xavi over for dinner, where the two women end up bonding over Xavi's annoying habits. Shortly after, Kelly cancels on her and Xavi's weekend plans, spooking Xavi and leading him to ask Ana for help bettering himself. After a long night of course correction, Ana actually manages to get Xavi to stop checking himself out in mirrors and checking his phone constantly. Unfortunately, Kelly pays an unexpected visit to Ana's apartment and catches her and Xavi in their robes. Assuming the worst, she breaks up with him.
Xavi is devastated, but despite Ana's encouraging, he is unwilling to fight for his and Kelly's relationship. Unable to keep from getting involved, Ana pays Kelly a visit to advocate for Xavi and ends up realizing he didn't need her help to be a better man. Xavi then walks out, revealing he took Ana's advice and already made up with Kelly. He also shares how great it was to hear Ana say all those lovely things about him. Kelly, sensing the lingering feelings between the pair, loses it a second time and ends things with Xavi for good... paving the way for a reconciliation between Ana and Xavi.
