Rules Of Engagement Episode 5.23 The Power Couple

Jeff is threatened by Audrey's salary increase leading to a power struggle between them. After Jeff stubbornly will not accept the new TV Audrey has bought with her own money he finally admits to her that he liked feeling needed by being the provider in the relationship. She assures him she still needs him to take care of her in other ways besides financially. Meanwhile, after Russell thinks he has won the "who dumps who first" contest with Liz, he is distraught to discover she is now dating Todd. He has Timmy follow Todd to find out what is so special about him, coming up with nothing out of the ordinary. After talking to Todd, Russell is able to move on knowing now that Todd is not special, but just a nice guy, something he is incapable of. In addition, after a waiter mistakenly thinks Adam is proposing to Jen and comps their meal, they pretend to get engaged a few times more for more free stuff. Eventually Jen gets fed up feeling like they are stealing, and rejects his next proposal but the waiter takes pity on Adam and gives him a free meal.
