Mike and Carl are exhausted and starting to get on each other's nerves after pulling a number of double shifts helping out because of all the snow Chicago has been getting. Aware of Mike's frustration, Molly suggests a little one-night getaway where the two of them spend the night at the Drake Hotel. Mike agrees but this causes a big fight with Carl-Carl wants the shifts because he's saving for Fantasy Baseball Camp and he can't do them if Mike won't. Even at the beautiful Drake hotel, all Mike does is complain about Carl so Molly decides to leave and go over to Grandma's house. The two women share some private jokes about Mike and Carl and ultimately, Carl leaves to confront Mike for sending over his girlfriend to fight his battles. Carl and Mike resolve their differences and when Molly returns to the hotel, Carl and Mike are in bed watching TV.
