The Lying Game Episode 1.09 Sex, Lies and Hard Knocks High

In Phoenix, Emma apologizes to Ethan for her embarrassing behavior the night before. The couple heads to the kitchen to get a snack, but they overhear Kristin telling Ted that they should tell Sutton the truth about her birth mother. That night, Emma tries to confront Alec about his lies, but she's interrupted when he gets a call and discovers Annie has escaped from the hospital. While at dinner, Alec watches Derek fall for Char and blackmails him into dumping her.

The next day, Kristin finds a condom in Laurel's laundry, and Laurel storms off when her mother tries to give her advice. Ted then confronts Justin at the golf course, and Justin tells him the truth.

Later that night, Kristin comes clean with Emma and confesses that her birth mother might still be alive. However, Emma learns that (unlike Ted) Kristin doesn't know that Annie Hobbs is her biological mother or that Sutton even has a twin!

The next day, Kristin receives the letter that Sutton wrote from juvie. Luckily, Emma intercepts it and rips it up. However, the letter shakes Emma up so badly that she decides she wants to leave. Ethan assures her that he'll follow her wherever she goes.

Meanwhile, thinking she is Emma, Lexi helps Sutton get back on her feet. Sutton makes the best of the situation by taking advantage of Emma's life and sprucing things up. When a cute boy invites her to his casino party, she wins enough money from blackjack to afford a bus ticket back to Phoenix. Before she gets on the bus, Lexi reveals she knew she was Sutton the whole time.
