Synopsis

MURDER AND MANIPULATION RUN IN THE FAMILY -- When a young doctor guilty of writing fraudulent prescriptions for the highly addictive painkiller "oxycodone" is murdered, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) find that she was controlled by the son (guest star David Deblinger) of a well-known organized crime boss (guest star Tom Mardirosian, "Oz"). But when the son offers to give up his father in exchange for a deal and the father offers information for a deal to save his own life, Executive A.D.A. McCoy (Sam Waterston) must decide whether to gamble on prosecuting one or both men.
