GRIM MURDER PLUNGES DETECTIVES INTO REALM OF CONTROVERSIAL ART -- When a woman is found murdered with her hands severed, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) discover that the victim was a wealthy patron of the arts -- and their interest is especially piqued when they find that one of her subsidized beneficiaries (guest star Steven Ogg) created a painting much like the grisly crime scene. However, their attention later turns to an agitated stranger (guest star Bruce MacVittie) who was often publicly seen protesting against the controversial artwork during a gallery display.
