Synopsis

MCCOY OPPOSES FORMER COLLEAGUE JAMIE ROSS IN COURT AS CAREY LOWELL REPRISES SERIES ROLE -- When a lawyer is murdered, assistant D.A. McCoy (Sam Waterston) believes the slayer is also responsible for a previous killing but as he struggles to link the two crimes, he is surprised to be opposed by his former colleague, Jamie Ross (Carey Lowell, reprising her "Law & Order" role). Ross, who has been counsel for an international war crimes tribunal, shocks her former cohorts when she curiously represents a detestable client; if she succeeds, a man already wrongly convicted of the crime will be executed in spite of McCoy's dogged efforts.
