On an episode of iCarly, Carly and Sam tell viewers to support David Archuleta instead of the other guy, Wade Collins on an American Idol-like show, America Sings. The next day, Archuleta wins, and is revealed that iCarly was why Archuleta won. Collins tells a sob story about how his mother is ill, and iCarly invites him on to make a music video because they feel sorry for him. However, after the webcast they learn Collins is extremely rude and then after the video, learn that Wade's mother isn't ill, and then the iCarly crew invite Archuleta on to expose Collins. Meanwhile, Sam teaches Spencer to lie when he gets a letter that claims he has a movie that is 10-years overdue with a $3600 fine.
