A big time producer wants to make iCarly into a hit T.V. show after seeing how much his daughter loves watching their web show. At first it turned out great because of them getting paid for doing iCarly on T.V., taking rides in the limo, and getting a new band. After the first rehearsal, Carly, Sam, and Freddie started to regret letting the producer make iCarly into a T.V. show because he starts to make bad changes which destroys the quality of the show. The producer decides to get rid of the iCarly band to fit in Zeebo the dinosaur, Sam gets fired for being pushy and aggressive and gets replaced by a not so talented movie actress (Amber Tate), and the producer goes too far with making Freddie do jantitor work. Meanwhile, with the kids at the T.V. studio, Mrs. Benson and Spencer try to fill the void by acting like a family to each other. In the end, after Carly had enough of the changes, she tells the producer that this isn't even iCarly anymore and the producer agrees with her, so Carly got the title back and the producer has something different for Zeebo the dinosaur and the bad movie actress who replaced Sam. He puts them in another T.V. show, which actually turned out to be lame. Meanwhile, since Carly got the iCarly title back, she, Sam, and Freddie change iCarly back to the way it originally was and for the return of the real iCarly, the head of the new iCarly band that the producer got rid of performs his favorite song.
