CSI: NY Episode 9.14 White Gold

When the team finds young pizza-maker Paul Tortucci shot and killed in an apparent carjacking, they determine two people were after what Paul was smuggling in his van. They use a blood trace from the perpetrators' vehicle to identify one of them as Reno Martell. After breaking into Martell's residence to find duffel bags full of mozzarella cheese, Paul's uncle puts it together that his nephew was selling the cheese to Canadian buyers for a profit. Mac suspects the perpetrators saw Paul routinely loading the mozzarella bricks into his van and believed he was transporting cocaine. The neighboring auto shop owner directs them to his unreliable employee, Felipe, whose body is found in an empty dumpster soon after. A matchbook in the dumpster guides them to a dive bar where they locate Martell. During the interrogation, Mac and Jo point out inconsistencies in Martell's story, causing him to break down and confess to shooting Paul and killing Felipe for mistaking the cheese for cocaine.
