Season four begins with Annie swiftly ascending an elevator, racing upwards towards a mysterious - and no doubt dangerous - meeting. She makes an emotional call to Auggie, and, ignoring his pleas to come home, pulls out a gun. Then the elevator doors open, and all hell breaks loose...
Flashback six months. That firefight is still in the distance, and Annie and Auggie are just where we left them at the close of last season: in bed. Calder Michaels, the ambitious local CIA station chief, isn't pleased that they're operating off-book on his turf. Meanwhile, back at Langley, Joan and Arthur have figured out that Annie and Auggie are romantically involved. But that's not the biggest shock they're in for-it's not even number two on the list. As it turns out, Joan is pregnant. Unfortunately, she and Arthur won't be able to celebrate the good news, as Henry's machinations have forced Arthur to set in motion a plan that could change everything...
