AceShowbiz - British rockers Radiohead have denied rumors they are releasing a second album of material from "The King of Limbs" recording sessions, insisting they plan to "start afresh" with new songs. The band unveiled its eighth studio album in February and hopeful fans were quick to speculate that the "Creep" hitmakers had an imminent follow-up waiting to hit shelves.

The rumors were fueled after two new tracks, "Supercollider" and "The Butcher", leaked online. But guitarist Ed O'Brien insists those songs are actually part of a special vinyl EP they created to mark Britain's Record Store Day on Saturday, April 16, when fans are encouraged to go out and buy music from independent shops.

O'Brien admits devotees will have to wait a while before hearing new music from the band - because there are no other tracks ready for release. He tells the BBC, "The Butcher is from the King Of Limbs sessions. Supercollider was recorded during that period and finished off after the album came out."

"There are (other) songs that we have started, that we never finished, but there's not like seven or eight finished songs waiting in the wings to be released now, or in the autumn, or something. When we start a new record, we tend to start afresh. It's kind of an evolutionary thing - only the fittest survive."
