AceShowbiz - Actress Emmy Rossum and her rocker boyfriend Adam Duritz have split. "The Phantom of the Opera" star started dating the Counting Crows frontman in 2009 following her separation from husband Justin Siegel.
But the pair parted ways two months ago, according to USA Today. Rossum tells the publication, "We're still very close friends."
Her love life aside, Rossum shares, "People say that, 'Where have you been?' It's so weird to me." The beauty admits that she had been waiting for the right role and finally lands role in upcoming series "Shameless" which premieres January 9.
"Hollywood doesn't provide you with tons of opportunities if you're a woman," she says. "I don't want to go run around in my underwear and be chased by a guy with a knife. When you're 22 and 23, there's not much that's not either, like, silly teen comedies or horror movies."
