The 'Shameless' alum announces via Instagram that she has welcomed a baby girl with the 'Mr. Robot' creator after keeping her pregnancy hush-hush all this time.

AceShowbiz - Emmy Rossum can now add mother to her resume. The actress is officially a first-time parent after welcoming her first child with her husband Sam Esmail earlier this week, on Monday, May 24 to be exact.
It's the singer/songwriter herself who shared the good news, one day after the birth of her daughter. Making use of her Instagram account, she let out a couple of black-and-white pictures from her maternity photo shoot, showing her bare baby bump. In one of the snaps, she smiled as her husband Sam cradled her stomach from behind.
On the third slide, Emmy posted a picture of her newborn baby girl's footprint. "5.24.21 On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world," she wrote in the caption, without revealing other details of the baby, such as her name and measurements.
The news of her baby's arrival comes as a surprise to fans as neither Emmy nor Sam has ever spilled about her pregnancy. Nevertheless, her friends and followers are happy for the new mom as they have showered her with congratulatory messages in the comment section of her baby announcement post.
Model/actress Emily Ratajkowski simply wrote, "Congrats!!" "Pretty Little Liars" alum Shay Mitchell commented, "Congratulations Emmy!!!!!" Jessica Szohr exclaimed, "Yes yes yes," along with several heart emojis, while Storm Reid added, "CONGRATULATIONS."
Another follower sent good wishes to the new parents, "CONGRATS, Emmy and Sam!!! Hope you're all healthy and happy-enjoy these magical moments." Someone else gushed, "Yesssssssssssas no luckier little girl!"
The newborn baby girl is the first child for both Emmy and Sam, who became engaged in August 2015 after two years of dating. The couple tied the knot at a Reform synagogue in New York City on May 28, 2017. The actress, who is best known for her portrayal of Fiona Gallagher on "Shameless", was previously married to Justin Siegel from 2008 until their divorce was finalized in December 2010.
