AceShowbiz - Emmy Rossum has quietly welcomed her second child with her husband Sam Esmail. When announcing the baby's arrival on social media, the former "Shameless" star offered a first glimpse at their newborn son.

Making use of Instagram on Thursday, April 6, the 36-year-old shared a photo of the tot's footprints. It was stated that the baby was born at 10:40 A.M., weighing 6lbs 14oz with a length of 19 inches.

Emmy also unleashed a black-and-white photo of her showing off her bare baby bump and a snap of her newborn son's little face. In the caption, she wrote, "04.05.23 On a foggy Wednesday morning, our son was born."

Emma and Sam's new bundle of joy joins their daughter, whom they welcomed in May 2021. At the time, the actress kept her pregnancy a secret. However, she finally shared the first image of her baby girl in an effort to encourage her fans to get vaccinated.

"When I was pregnant, I got vaccinated. Not only did we have a healthy, beautiful baby girl but we also just learned our daughter now has antibodies," she wrote next to a picture of her kissing her daughter, whose head is turned away from the camera. "In short, stop being an irresponsible idiot and get the vaccine."

Emmy's husband Sam then tweeted the same message on his account. He penned, "When @emmyrossum was pregnant she got vaccinated. Not only did we have a healthy, beautiful baby girl but we also just discovered our daughter now has antibodies. In short, stop being an irresponsible idiot and get the vaccine."

"The Day After Tomorrow" actress has been intentional about keeping her first child's face off social media. She only showed the back of the toddler's head while documenting her blowing bubbles and watching waves, among other sweet moments.
