AceShowbiz - Dimitri Abold is stepping into one of science fiction's most storied universes. The Jamaican-born German actor is positioned as a breakout lead in Prime Video's Blade Runner 2099, the upcoming series set in the world of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049.

The series is set to premiere on November 25 on Prime Video. Abold stars alongside Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, with Tom Burke also among the cast.

Abold will be in New York on October 12 during New York Comic Con, where he is available for in-studio or virtual interviews. The appearance comes as the actor steps into a leading role in the franchise's next chapter.

A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Abold has lived and worked across Jamaica, Germany and the U.S. His additional credits include Prime Video's Secret Level and Jack Ryan, Netflix's Warrior Nun and the German series Love Addicts.

Audiences may also recognize him as Reaper in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, the District 11 tribute whose act of rebellion against the Capitol became one of the film's standout moments. The role marked his entry into a major franchise before his move to the Blade Runner universe.

In interviews, Abold can discuss joining one of sci-fi's most iconic worlds, bringing the next chapter of the Blade Runner universe to life, his transition from The Hunger Games to another major franchise, and his international path as an actor.

The series places Abold alongside Yeoh and Schafer, two of the most prominent names attached to the project, with Burke rounding out the principal cast. Scott's original Blade Runner and its sequel Blade Runner 2049 established the visual and thematic template that the new series continues.

Blade Runner 2099 arrives on Prime Video on November 25, with Abold's New York interviews set for October 12 during New York Comic Con.
