Amazon Prime Video renews hit reality-comedy Jury Duty for Season 3, following the acclaimed mock trial and surprise success.

AceShowbiz - Amazon's streaming platform Prime Video has officially confirmed the renewal of the hit reality-comedy series Jury Duty for its third season. The announcement was made during the company’s upfront presentation on Monday, signaling the continuation of the show’s unique blend of scripted and candid-camera entertainment.
The original concept of Jury Duty debuted in 2023, centering on an unsuspecting juror who unknowingly participates in a staged civil trial surrounded entirely by actors. This innovative format quickly captured audience interest and critical praise alike. Prime Video’s head of global TV, Peter Friedlander, expressed excitement about the series’ return, highlighting the positive reception of the second season, Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, without revealing where the new season’s setting will be.
Created by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, the show originally aired on Amazon’s ad-supported Freevee service. However, following Freevee’s shutdown in 2025, the series was transitioned to Prime Video. The second season, titled Jury Duty Presents: Corporate Retreat, shifted the premise to a corporate event at a hot-sauce company, where a temporary employee was surrounded by actors, maintaining the show’s signature mix of reality and scripted comedy. This season premiered earlier this year and concluded on April 3.
The first season of Jury Duty was met with widespread acclaim, earning four Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nods, underscoring its impact and popularity. Upon the launch of the second season in March, critical response was more tempered, with The Hollywood Reporter describing it as a “sweeter, milder retread” that lacked fresh innovations compared to its predecessor.
The second season’s executive production team includes experienced comedy figures such as David Bernad, Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky, Jake Szymanski, Anthony King, Chris Kula, James Marsden, and Ruben Fleischer. Additionally, notable collaborators from reality-comedy projects led by Sacha Baron Cohen, including Todd Schulman and Nicholas Hatton, contributed to the show’s production.
With the third season on the horizon, fans of Jury Duty can anticipate the return of the series’ signature style of humor and surprise, as Prime Video continues to invest in this innovative reality-comedy hybrid.
