AceShowbiz - Audrey Beth Davis, a seasoned entertainment publicist known for her extensive work in television, has passed away at the age of 82. Her colleagues at The Lippin Group shared that she died of natural causes on Friday in Pennsylvania, surrounded by loved ones and caregivers.
Born on October 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, Davis graduated from Midwood High School in 1960. Early in her career, she worked for producer Goodson Todman on the popular game show The Match Game, before transitioning into public relations during the 1970s.
Audrey Beth Davis joined Stone Associates before becoming a key part of Dick Lippin’s firm, Lippin & Grant, which later evolved into The Lippin Group. She remained with the company until her retirement in 2008, establishing herself as a respected figure in the television publicity field.
Throughout her career, Davis contributed to the promotion of numerous acclaimed television series, including The Golden Girls, Empty Nest, The Love Boat, and several installments of the Law & Order franchise such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Audrey Beth Davis is survived by her sister Rhonda and husband Jim, her sister Sharon, niece Rebecca and husband Konrad, nephew Hank and wife Karen, as well as great nieces and nephews Jake, Sarah, Zoe, and Hannah. In honor of her memory, the family requests donations be made to St. Francis Home instead of sending flowers.
