AceShowbiz - The action thriller Apex, starring Charlize Theron, has dominated Netflix’s film rankings with a strong debut performance. During the week of April 20, Apex amassed an impressive 38.2 million views, securing the top spot on Netflix’s English-language movie list.
Apex outpaced other popular films including 180, which took the No. 2 position with 17.5 million views, and Roommates, which earned 12.1 million views in its second week on the streaming platform. This surge highlights Apex as a standout release in a competitive week for films.
The movie list also featured Thrash at No. 4 with 9.6 million views, followed by the documentary Untold: The Shooting at Hawthorne Hill securing fifth place with 4.5 million views. Notably, the long-running favorite KPop Demon Hunters remained within the top ten films for the week.
On the television front, the second season of Running Point debuted strongly, ranking No. 2 on the English-language TV list with 5.3 million views. This follows the first season’s premiere in February 2025, which attracted 9.3 million views in its opening week.
However, Running Point Season 2 was surpassed by the psychological thriller series Unchosen, which topped the TV chart with 10.4 million views during its inaugural week on Netflix.
Another notable television entry was Beef Season 2, which saw a significant increase in viewership from 2.4 million in its debut week to 4.1 million in its second week. This growth propelled Beef to the No. 3 spot on both global and U.S. TV charts.
Rounding out the top TV shows, WWE’s Monday Night Raw from April 20 ranked fourth with 3 million views, followed by the limited series Hulk Hogan: Real American at fifth place. Salish & Jordan Matter and Stranger Things: Tales From '85 secured sixth and seventh positions with 2.9 million and 2.8 million views, respectively.
This week’s data reflects a robust landscape for both films and TV series on Netflix, with Apex leading the film category and Unchosen dominating on the television side.
