Roger Waters helps son find lead singer for new Pink Floyd tribute band, Legacy. An open call for the iconic voice of Pink Floyd's golden era.

AceShowbiz - Roger Waters made headlines in 2023 when he dismissed his son, Harry Waters, from his touring ensemble. Now, Roger Waters is stepping in to support his son’s musical ambitions by helping find a lead singer for Harry’s new Pink Floyd tribute band.
Harry Waters has assembled a group called Legacy, which plans to embark on a tour in 2027. This band is designed to honor the "golden era" of Pink Floyd as well as incorporate selections from Roger Waters' solo career. However, Roger Waters noted that the band is still lacking a critical element: "The voice I had when I was young."
In a statement, Roger Waters explained, "Back in the day, I could sing everything from the soft urgency of 'Hello, is there anybody in there?' from 'Comfortably Numb,' to the high-pitched scream of 'You know how I need you/To beat to a pulp on a Saturday night' from 'Don't Leave Me Now.' Can you do that? Are you that missing voice? If you are, this is your chance. This is an open invitation to audition for Harry's band. I'm serious."
On social media, Harry Waters echoed his father’s call, writing, "We're looking for a singer who can sound like Dad did when he was young. Are you that person?" This open audition signals an opportunity for vocalists who can capture the essence of Roger Waters' vocal style during Pink Floyd’s peak years.
The upcoming Legacy tour promises to celebrate Pink Floyd’s music under the guidance of Harry Waters and the vocal talent yet to be discovered.
