From collaborators to enemies: The $10k debt that led to a shooting. Explore the full story of Lil Tjay and Offset's feud.
- April 10, 2026
AceShowbiz - Lil Tjay and Offset were once on friendly terms as collaborators back in 2021, but their relationship has dramatically deteriorated over time. The main cause of their falling out appears to be a financial dispute.
In early 2025, Lil Tjay publicly accused Offset of owing him $10,000, money he claimed to have lent the Migos rapper during a casino outing. This accusation sparked tensions, leading to a war of words on social media where Offset even challenged the Bronx rapper to a physical fight.
Things escalated further in April 2025 when Offset was shot outside the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida, following an altercation in the valet area on Monday, April 6. Lil Tjay was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct related to the incident.
A representative from the Seminole Police Department explained that the situation began as a physical fight. Lil Tjay was booked into the Broward County Jail later that same day.
Offset was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood with a gunshot wound but was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. He remained hospitalized as of Tuesday, April 7.
After posting a $500 bond on Tuesday, Lil Tjay gave an explosive interview to reporters upon his release from jail, where he labeled Offset a "rat" and recounted details of the shooting while disparaging the Atlanta rapper.
However, Lil Tjay's lawyer, Dawn Florio, distanced her client from the shooting incident, calling any contrary reports "false rumors." She stated, "Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting." Florio urged the public to rely on verified news sources before spreading unsubstantiated claims.
Offset responded on social media, signaling that this feud is far from over. Below is a timeline of their relationship highlighting key moments.
April 2021: Collaboration on 'Run It Up'
Back in 2021, things appeared amicable between Offset and Lil Tjay when they teamed up with Moneybagg Yo on the track "Run It Up." Produced by Josh Petruccio, the song was featured on Lil Tjay's sophomore album, Destined 2 Win, and reached No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Although the official music video has amassed over 60 million views, it notably does not show Offset and Lil Tjay appearing together in any scenes.
