AceShowbiz - Offset is addressing serious accusations after a Los Angeles security guard filed a lawsuit claiming the rapper assaulted him at a dispensary.
The complaint, filed by Jim Sanchez, states that the incident took place at a MedMen location near LAX. Sanchez alleges that the encounter began when he requested identification from Offset upon entry, which quickly escalated into a heated argument and then a physical altercation.
According to the lawsuit, Sanchez was punched by Offset, and members of the rapper’s entourage also allegedly joined in the assault. The security guard claims he sustained injuries that required medical attention and is seeking $25,000 in damages.
In response, Offset denies causing the harm and asserts in court documents that Sanchez’s behavior contributed to the escalation. The rapper’s legal filings emphasize that “at least some of the acts complained of by Sanchez were provoked by his wrongful conduct” and place fault on the security guard for his conduct during the incident.
Further reports reveal that Offset claims the confrontation began after Sanchez spat on him. The rapper is currently facing a misdemeanor charge related to the case and has entered a plea of not guilty. A hearing is scheduled for April 29.
Recently, Offset survived a shooting incident following another confrontation with New York drill artist Lil Tjay. Speaking about his resilience, he shared on the Creators Inc. Podcast, “Got to keep pushing, gladiator mentality, man. The show don’t ever stop at the end of the day.”
