AceShowbiz - Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox are set to return to CBS' The Young and the Restless with a new story arc beginning April 6 that promises significant impact on the show's fictional setting of Genoa City.
Shemar Moore will reprise his role as Malcolm Winters, a part he originally played from 1994 to 2005, with multiple guest appearances afterward, including special tributes in 2014, 2019, and most recently in 2023 for the show's 50th anniversary. Moore recently finished production on S.W.A.T. Exiles before rejoining the daytime staple.
Vivica A. Fox returns to the series as Dr. Stephanie Simmons, a character she portrayed briefly from 1994 to 1995. This marks her first return to The Young and the Restless since her initial stint. Fox originally worked alongside the late Kristoff St. John during her time on the show.
Both actors teased their reunion on social media, with Moore sharing a post captioned "We're young, restless and reunited." Their characters’ reappearance is expected to bring lasting implications for the residents of Genoa City, hinting at dramatic developments ahead.
The Young and the Restless continues to be produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in partnership with Sony Pictures Television. Alongside the return of Moore and Fox, the show also announced an upcoming crossover event with Beyond the Gates, set to begin airing in June.
The soap opera airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET and 11:30 a.m. PT on CBS and is available for streaming on Paramount+.
