AceShowbiz - Charlie Cox has been a fan favorite ever since his portrayal of Daredevil first captivated audiences during the Netflix Defenders saga. The interconnected series, featuring heroes like The Punisher, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones, established Cox’s role as the beloved Hell’s Kitchen vigilante. When Netflix cancelled the show after its third season, fans rallied passionately online with campaigns to “Save Daredevil,” reflecting the character’s enduring popularity.
Thankfully, those efforts paid off. Cox officially made his Marvel Cinematic Universe movie debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home, marking the character’s reintroduction to a wider audience. Marvel Studios followed up by launching Daredevil: Born Again, a standalone series that revitalized the character. The show reunited fans with familiar faces like Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll, and Foggy Nelson, portrayed by Elden Henson.
With the second season of Daredevil: Born Again set to premiere in less than a week, interest in Cox’s future within the MCU is higher than ever. Recently, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Cox was asked about rumors regarding his involvement in upcoming Marvel projects — specifically the new Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which recently released a trailer featuring Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.
Cox was clear but playful in his response: “No. Now, if I were in the movie, I would also say no, to be clear. Right. But I’m not in the movie,” he admitted before adding with a wink, “But I could be lying.” This typical Marvel secrecy leaves fans guessing, as actors often cannot confirm or deny their participation in future projects.
Kimmel pressed further, inquiring whether Cox would appear in the upcoming MCU team-up film Avengers: Doomsday. Again, Cox was straightforward: “I don’t think so. No... as far as I know, I’m not in the Avengers.” However, he added with a hint of hope, “I sit by the phone waiting with bated breath,” suggesting he remains open to future opportunities within the franchise.
Despite the uncertainty around his MCU appearances outside the Daredevil series, fans have plenty to look forward to with Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Returning cast members include Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his iconic role as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin), and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. The new season also welcomes Krysten Ritter back as Jessica Jones, further expanding the interwoven Marvel universe on Disney+.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will debut on March 24, 2026. Meanwhile, new viewers can catch up on the first season, which is available now on Disney+.
