AceShowbiz - The rapper Quavo is currently confronting a significant tax issue after federal authorities revealed he owes millions in unpaid taxes.
Documents filed earlier this year show that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has placed a federal tax lien against the Migos member, whose legal name is Quavious Marshall. The lien asserts that the artist failed to pay taxes over three separate years.
The IRS claims that Quavo owes $915,660 for 2021, $887,486 for 2022, and $1,109,497.79 for 2023. The total outstanding amount listed on the lien is $2,912,644.33.
A federal tax lien is a legal claim the government places on a taxpayer’s property or assets when they have not settled their tax debt after multiple notices. This lien remains until the debt is fully resolved.
As of now, Quavo has not issued any public response regarding this filing.
This tax complication arises months after another member of Migos experienced a similar situation. Offset previously dealt with a seven-figure IRS debt related to unpaid taxes.
Records from December 2025 show that Offset managed to settle his tax debt after paying off the balance. Once the amount was cleared, the IRS released the lien, which had listed a total of $1,575,266.73 in unpaid taxes for 2022.
Quavo initially gained fame as one-third of the Atlanta rap group Migos and has since pursued a solo career, which now faces this substantial financial hurdle.
