In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Glaser reflected on her previous hosting experience and expressed her thoughts on the high expectations she set for herself this year. “I kind of nailed it,†she noted. “And it scares me, because that was kind of lightning in a bottle. I got really lucky with some of the nominees. Everything worked out. So it’s a high bar. I’m kind of screwed.â€
As the night unfolded, One Battle After Another led the nominations with an impressive total of nine, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Following closely was Sentimental Value with eight nominations, while Sinners received seven, Hamnet had six, and both Frankenstein and Wicked: For Good garnered five nominations each.
In the television categories, The White Lotus took the lead with six nominations, trailed by Adolescence with five, and Only Murders in the Building and Severance each with four nominations.
This year's Golden Globes featured a star-studded lineup of presenters, including Amanda Seyfried, Ana de Armas, Chris Pine, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and many more. The presence of these celebrities added glamour to the evening, highlighting the significance of the awards.
Returning as executive producers for the 2026 Golden Globes were Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner from White Cherry Entertainment. The event, organized by Dick Clark Productions, has gained a worldwide audience, being broadcast in over 185 countries and territories.
This year marked the introduction of a new category: Best Podcast.
