Television personality Amanda Kloots and former tennis champion Justin Gimelstob make a stunning debut as a couple during a star-studded evening in Beverly Hills.

AceShowbiz - Amanda Kloots and Justin Gimelstob made their first red carpet appearance together. The TV personality, 43, and the retired tennis pro, 48, officially stepped out as a couple at the Unforgettable Evening event on April 28, held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

This special event is hosted by the Women's Cancer Research Fund to support the advancement of cancer research.

Kloots confided to PEOPLE that their relationship is "very new" and described it as "absolutely lovely," emphasizing that they are still in the "courting" phase.

Gimelstob humorously added, "I hope to never leave that stage," recounting how he admired Kloots well before they went on their first date, which amusingly took place about a year and a half after he first laid eyes on her at a Formula 1 race in Las Vegas.

Their relationship seems to have developed organically, partly thanks to mutual friends who played a matchmaking role. Kloots mentioned that Gimelstob was initially introduced to her 5-year-old son, Elvis, as one of her friends.

Kloots had welcomed Elvis with her late husband, Nick Cordero, in June 2019. Reflecting on the developing bond between Gimelstob and Elvis, she shared, "It kind of happened very naturally, which is great."

When asked why they appreciate each other, Gimelstob enthused about Kloots, describing her as "an incredibly special person... with a beautiful energy and an amazing athlete." He added to the list significantly longer attributes that captivated him.

Kloots similarly praised Gimelstob, calling him a "wonderful man" and "wonderful father," appreciating how he takes care of her.

Gimelstob, who won the 1998 Australian Open and French Open mixed doubles titles with Venus Williams, retired from professional tennis in 2007. He has since become a father to a son named Brandon and established the Justin Gimelstob Children's Fund, which raises money for pediatric cancer and blood diseases.

In October 2024, Kloots revealed to PEOPLE that her late husband, Nick Cordero, had given his blessing for her to find love again through readings with mediums.

Cordero had tragically passed away in July 2020 due to COVID-19 complications. More recently, in February, Kloots shared her plans to create a diamond ring from Cordero's ashes, a touching remembrance she intends to wear daily.
