Kloots shared a photo with Bersten on Instagram, stating that they had "become the best of friends" during the show and remained close today. She explained that while Bersten was demanding, she understood his toughness due to her experience in the ballet world.

Kloots highlighted the "incredible partnership" she and Bersten built during the competition, which aired shortly after her husband's death from COVID-19. She credited Bersten with helping her rediscover her love for dance and assisting her in her healing process.

Kloots's initial comments about Bersten drew attention during an interview on Harry Jowsey's podcast, where she described him as "yelling" at her. However, she has since clarified that she respects Bersten's demanding approach, acknowledging that it helped her improve her dance skills.

"I needed him to push me," Kloots wrote. "These hardships only make us stronger."

Kloots ended her post by expressing her gratitude to Bersten and asking fans to support him and Ilona Maher in the current season of "Dancing with the Stars".
