AceShowbiz - Katy Perry, 40, embarked on her Lifetimes Tour 2025 at CDMX Arena in Mexico City. The pop singer took the opportunity to seemingly address the backlash from her recent Blue Origin space flight.
"Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?" she asked the crowd. During the show, she embraced space-themed choreography, flying through the air, and donning eye-catching outfits such as a silver metal bodysuit, and taking a selfie with men wearing NASA jumpsuits that looked similar to her own Blue Origin costume.
The Lifetimes Tour kicked April 23, but it was met with logistical hurdles when Perry had to cancel two significant shows in Guadalajara, Mexico. She shared on Instagram that the venue was not constructed in time, expressing that while the situation was beyond her control, she hopes to create something special for her fans in Guadalajara in the future.
Perry's space flight, alongside notable figures like Gayle King and NASA scientist Aisha Bowe, was intended to be a landmark for women in space. However, her post, celebrities and climate activists criticized the mission's environmental impact.
Reflecting on her space adventure, an insider revealed, "Katy doesn't regret going to space. It was life changing. What she does regret is making a public spectacle out of it."
Nevertheless, Perry's performance and engagement with fans on the Lifetimes Tour underscore her passion. As she prepares for the upcoming legs of her tour in the US, Australia, Canada, and Europe, Perry's message is clear: dreams, no matter how crazy they seem, are worth pursuing.
