AceShowbiz - The atmosphere at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was electrifying as Travis Scott (II) made his monumental return. Performing at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on April 12, the rapper not only wowed the crowd with his hits but also dedicated a special moment to his daughter, Stormi.
"Stormi, let's rock," Scott shouted out during his set, showing his heartwarming bond with his 7-year-old daughter, whom he shares with ex Kylie Jenner, who attended the event alongside her current boyfriend, actor Timothee Chalamet.
This appearance marked Scott's first Coachella performance since 2017, and he did not disappoint. In a prior press release, Scott hinted at debuting a "new era of music" and promised fans a "fully immersive and experiential world within the desert."
Leading up to his Coachella show, Scott generated buzz by teasing his forthcoming album. "JACKBOYS 2 on the way, man. Let that motherf----- ride, ya dig," Scott teased, signaling a follow-up to his 2019 album "JACKBOYS."
Reflecting on his creative process in a recent Complex cover story, Scott shared his affinity for beatmaking. "A lot of beats are kind of the same. Like, you're hearing a lot of the same beats and the same drums. So that process [of beatmaking] is what makes it exciting to make the songs," he explained.
Scott is not just resting on his laurels; he is eager to explore new artistic avenues. "I'm excited about new music. Utopia was an ultra passion for me, because I had to get that creativity off and I'm glad it's lasted as long as it lasted," he said about his 2023 album. He added, "For this next album, I just want to have the most ultimate fun with being creative."
Coachella this year features an impressive lineup with headliners like Green Day, Lady Gaga, and Post Malone, along with performances by Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, BLACKPINK's Lisa and Jennie, Ed Sheeran, and more. The festival is spread over two weekends, ensuring no shortage of memorable moments.
