In an almost surreal twist, Mick Foley, the wrestling world's indestructible icon, is grateful to be alive after landing in hospital following a serious car accident.

AceShowbiz - Wrestling legend Mick Foley was involved in a severe car crash on April 1. The 59-year-old WWE Hall of Famer, who has a storied career filled with brutal matches, was hospitalized after a serious accident that left his car heavily damaged.
Despite the vehicle's condition, Foley revealed via social media that he is miraculously still up and walking. Taking to Instagram and Facebook, Foley shared a photo of the wreck, showing the extensive damage: a crushed front bumper, a missing hood, and a shattered windshield.
Accompanying the image was a caption that read, "TOUGH DAY FOR MICK! I have no idea how I am still walking around after this accident. I'm in the hospital now, and I'm sore from my knees to my neck, including a minor concussion."
The extent of the crash's impact is evident in the photograph, making Foley's survival and relatively minor injuries a testament to his astonishing luck and perhaps his extraordinary physical toughness built over years in the wrestling ring.
"Only you could walk out of a car in that shape and be mostly fine. Prayers up sir. Hope you're recovering quickly and painlessly," commented retired wrestler Dean Mojo Muhtadi.
Foley is no stranger to extreme physical strain, having built a reputation on his capacity to endure pain. His career-defining moment came during the unforgettable 1998 Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker, where he was thrown from the top of the steel structure and later chokeslammed through the cage roof.
Over his wrestling career, Foley has been open about the long-term consequences of his high-risk matches, admitting to chronic pain and an aversion to activities that could jolt his body.
Despite the physical toll and age catching up, Foley briefly entertained the idea of a return to the ring to celebrate his upcoming 60th birthday in June. However, earlier in January, he indicated this was unlikely due to a concussion suffered during training.
The wrestling community has rallied around Foley following the accident, showing an outpouring of support. Retired wrestler Kurt Angle remarked, "You've actually did more damage in the ring than with that car. GOD bless you Mick." WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor and "Young Sheldon" actor Will Sasso also conveyed their well wishes.
Foley's ability to come through this harrowing incident relatively unscathed continues to highlight not just his resilience but also endears him further to fans, who have followed his journey from the squared circle to his recent ordeal and eventual recovery. The wrestling community eagerly anticipates his return to good health.
