AceShowbiz - Lewis Hamilton, the world-champion F1 driver who recently switched to Ferrari from Mercedes, gave Brad Pitt, his co-star in upcoming movie "F1", "the scare of a lifetime" when he took the actor for a lap around the track.
According to director Joseph Kosinski in an interview with Time magazine, Brad Pitt was "clawing at the windows, begging to get out" during the exhilarating lap. This adrenaline-pumping experience is just a sneak peek of what the upcoming film promises to deliver.
The movie will feature Pitt as a retired driver who returns to Formula 1 to mentor and compete with a younger teammate, played by Damson Idris. Scheduled for release on June 27, the movie has been filmed at various F1 races worldwide, adding an authentic touch to its high-speed narrative. The cast includes Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.
Amidst his film commitments, Hamilton is gearing up for his debut race with Ferrari following a dramatic switch from Mercedes. Speaking at the PUMA x Ferrari 20 Years of Speed celebration, Hamilton expressed his excitement about donning the iconic red suit of Ferrari.
"It's been a long winter, but it's also been very short. But I'm really grateful we had good testing last week," he said. "I'm just excited to get going. I love racing. Being at Melbourne is going to be very reminiscent of my first Grands Prix there."
With Hamilton's dual roles in racing and filmmaking, fans can look forward to a thrilling year on the track and an exceptional cinematic portrayal of the world of Formula 1.
