Allstar Weekend was an American pop rock band that emerged from the digital age, finding its initial audience on MySpace before becoming a familiar presence on the Disney Channel. Formed in 2007 in San Diego, California, under the original name Outerspace Politicians, the group consisted of lead vocalist Zachary "Zach" Porter, bassist Cameron Quiseng, drummer Michael Martinez, and lead guitarist Nathan Darmody. Their blend of upbeat pop melodies and rock energy quickly captured the attention of a young fanbase, propelling them from online popularity to mainstream television exposure.

The band's major breakthrough arrived in 2010 with the release of their debut EP, "Suddenly," which served as a precursor to their first full-length album. That October, they released "Suddenly Yours," which entered the Billboard 200 chart, peaking at number 197. The album spawned their best-known singles, including the vibrant "Dance Forever," "Come Down with Love," and "A Different Side of Me." Their music and energetic personas led to performances and features across the Disney Channel ecosystem, solidifying their status as rising stars in the teen pop scene.

A significant change occurred in September 2011 when founding guitarist Nathan Darmody departed the band to pursue a solo career. The remaining trio of Porter, Quiseng, and Martinez continued, releasing their second studio album, "All the Way," later that same month. This project marked a commercial improvement, reaching number 49 on the Billboard 200. Despite this upward trajectory, the band's active period was relatively brief. After a period of decreased activity, Allstar Weekend officially announced their disbandment on August 4, 2013, concluding a six-year run that exemplified the power of social media and television synergy in launching a musical act during the late 2000s and early 2010s.
