This expression of motherly love follows shortly after the distressing news that she lost the custody of her children.

Her ex-husband, filmmaker Kyle Newman, was granted sole physical custody of their two boys and she would only have supervised visits with her children after failing to meet the requirements of her court-mandated rehab, parenting program, and individual counseling.

The duo was embroiled in a court battle following their divorce in 2020. They were married for 13 years from 2007 to 2020 before settling their divorce in 2023. King accused Newman of emotional abuse while Newman accused King of drug abuse.

Newman's accusations include claims that their youngest son Leo was born addicted to opiates, a distressing detail allegedly rooted in King's substance abuse during her pregnancy.

Furthermore, Newman had reportedly requested last October that King be ordered to stay away from their sons due to concerns of her being "strung out" and "drunk" while parenting.

The court has decided that King can see her children three times a week, with supervision provided by close family members or Newman's brother. A source close to the actress revealed that King is "not handling this well" and feels "devastated and embarrassed" by the situation.
