AceShowbiz - Jaime King reportedly had to move out of her Hollywood Hills rental home after losing the custody of her children. She was not allowed to be alone with her children until she completes a mandated drug and alcohol program.
The 45-year-old actress, known for her roles in "White Chicks" and "Sin City," had been renting a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home for $10,000 per month since April 2023.
The home served as her residence before her divorce from director Kyle Newman was finalized in September 2023. However, she vacated the property earlier this month, with her last personal items still in the process of being removed.
King's representatives declined to comment on the matter. Photos from the scene show various items ready for pickup, including a mini trampoline and furniture such as a daybed and couch.
According to real estate records, the rental property has already found new tenants at a rate of $11,900 per month just a week after being listed.
A source close to King disclosed, "She has been struggling with her finances for years now after some failed film ventures but the custody fight and having to fight all the accusations made against her in court drained her bank accounts." As a result, King had to downsize to a more affordable living situation.
King's ongoing custody battle with Newman took another significant turn recently. A judge awarded Newman sole physical custody of their two sons, James Knight (11) and Leo Thames (9), due to concerns regarding King's substance abuse.
King is now required to have her visits with her sons supervised until she completes a six-month drug and alcohol program.
The judge's order indicates that the approved supervisors for King's visits include her mother, sister, brother-in-law, and Newman's brother, Kevin. This decision has added to King's personal struggles, with the insider noting that her world is "shattered" and that she is taking the situation very hard.
Throughout this challenging period, Taylor Swift, who is the godmother of King's son Leo, has provided substantial support. In a heartfelt Instagram post, King had previously expressed her gratitude to Swift for her unwavering support and generous donation to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, which treated Leo for a congenital heart defect.
