AceShowbiz - Former talk show host Wendy Williams is fiercely contesting allegations that she is incapacitated. Following a welfare check and subsequent cognitive test, she called into "The View" for a pre-taped interview.

"I've been doing important things all of my life and these two people don't look like me. They don't talk like me. They don't act like me. They will never be me. I need them to get off my neck!" Williams declared, referring to her guardian and the ongoing conservatorship that she insists is unnecessary.

She emphasized, "I needed a breath of fresh air. I needed to see the doctor, so that's why I went to the hospital."

In addition, Williams was desperate for an independent psych evaluation, which she ultimately passed with flying colors. "How dare they say I have incapacitation. I do not!" she fumed during the interview.

Recounting getting police assistance to hospital, Williams shared, "It was great at first… They got me at the hospital, and then - with permission from the guardian, of course - we left the hospital by ambulance, and we stayed [at the living facility] for about an hour, because we knew we were going out to eat, just to celebrate life."

However, things quickly took a turn for the worst. She said that simple dining outing with her niece, Alex Finnie, prompted a police call by the staff and accusation of kidnapping.

Wendy Williams has been under a conservatorship managed by her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, since 2022. Diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023, she has aggressively refuted assertions of her cognitive impairment.

Despite Morissey's claim that Williams received excellent care and her movement was never restricted, Williams, 60, begged to differ, alleging she faced stringent control under her conservatorship, living in what she calls a "memory unit" within a luxury living facility.

In her conversation with "The View," Williams poignantly asked why she is being confined with much older patients in their 80s or 90s, lamenting, "I'm 60! Why am I here?"

An audience member who witnessed the taping and noted, "She doesn't sound anywhere near needing any sort of guardianship."

Williams also hinted at the improbability of returning to broadcasting under her current guardianship. While Williams laid bare her struggles, Sunny Hostin, a co-host on "The View" and longtime friend, took the opportunity to thank the embattled star for her support in her early career.

As this saga unfolds, Wendy Williams continues to express her desire for autonomy and challenges the conservatorship.
