AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson, 42, has sparked a wave of concern among fans after being absent from her daytime talk show for a significant period. The former "American Idol" star last hosted on March 5 but has been missing since February 27, with various celebrities stepping in as guest hosts. The sudden and unplanned nature of her absence has left many fans worried.
Simu Liu, who filled in for Clarkson on March 3, admitted to the audience that he did not know he would be hosting until moments before the taping began. "Kelly isn't able to make it today. We're sending her our very best," he said.
Other guest hosts included Roy Wood Jr., Wanda Sykes, Josh Groban, Brooke Shields, Willie Geist, and Molly Sims, all of whom have stepped in to keep the show running.
The uncertainty has led to a flood of comments on social media, with many of Clarkson's fans expressing their concern. "Where's Kelly??" one fan commented, while another added, "We are worried sick about her."
Despite numerous inquiries, neither Clarkson nor her show's representatives have provided any specifics about her absence.
While Clarkson's absence continues, she is slated to return for episodes airing on March 18, March 20, and March 21, according to the show's weekly listings. Additionally, the Grammy winner is preparing for her Las Vegas residency, which runs from July 4 to November 15, 2025, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
The "Because of You" singer has previously taken extended breaks from her professional commitments. In 2022, she took a summer hiatus to spend time with her children in Montana, a period she described as crucial for their well-being.
"It was really important to me to shut down for a minute. [We] just spent the whole summer in the mountains. It was nice," she reflected during an appearance on "Today." The experience positively impacted her children, daughter River Rose, 10, and son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 8, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson is approaching a significant milestone with her show set to air its 1,000th episode on March 20. Since its debut in 2019, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" has garnered multiple Emmy Awards and has become a staple of daytime TV.
While fans await her return, many continue to respect her privacy, acknowledging that she does not owe anyone an explanation for her absence. Nevertheless, the concern for Kelly Clarkson's well-being remains palpable among her dedicated audience.
