Following their awkward interaction between Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick at the SXSW premiere of 'Another Simple Favor', filmmaker Paul Feig insists the feud rumors are simply not true.

AceShowbiz - Following the premiere of "Another Simple Favor" at SXSW and subsequent rumors about tense reunion between Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, director Paul Feig decisively addressed and denied the alleged feud.

Responding to a YouTuber claimed on X, "Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again," Feig quickly refuted this, succinctly posting, "Um … you're wrong."

The alleged feud between Lively and Kendrick emerged amid Lively's explosive legal battle with "It Ends With Us" director and co-star Justin Baldoni. It fuelled by their awkward interaction at the SXSW red carpet.

At the event, when asked about her experience reuniting Kendrick for the sequel, Lively gushed, "Oh, it's the best. I'm so happy to be here." Meanwhile, Kendrick gave a cryptic and dismissive response, "Oh, you know," before quickly walking away.

Kendrick also sidestepped questions about Lively's legal issues with Baldoni. When inquired about the potential impact of the legal drama on the film, Kendrick humorously deflected, "Why, what happened? I did ayahuasca [plant-based psychedelic] and the last year of my life is just gone. But I've heard the movie is a-mazing."

Despite social media chatter and public curiosity, Feig remained steadfast in defending both actresses' professionalism, describing his experience working with them as "too much fun."

He emphasized in a People interview, "I had such a great experience on the first one. It always kind of stuck with me, like, 'God, I love working with the two of them.' "

Feig's remarks echoed his earlier comments in December, where he lauded Lively for being "one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented, and kind people I've ever worked with."

The unfolding legal saga between Lively and Baldoni has added an additional layer of complexity to the situation. While Lively alleges sexual harassment, Baldoni countersues for extortion and defamation. Both sides continue to deny the allegations, with a trial set for March 2026.
