AceShowbiz - Little Mix alum Jade Thirlwall once went on a date with Harry Styles, only to be ghosted by the former One Direction star. The British singer shared this tidbit on an episode of "The Louis Theroux Podcast" on Spotify.

"We were like 16 or something," she recalled. "He didn't message me back," referring to a date that occurred during Styles' time as a contestant on "The X Factor." This was right after Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson had formed their band, One Direction, on the British music competition in 2010.

"The minute they went on live shows, he didn't message me back," Thirlwall reminisced. "I thought, 'That's it now. He's gone. He's made it.' "

Little did Thirlwall know, this would be a minor blip in what was to become a meteoric rise for both of them in the music industry. Following in Styles' footsteps, Thirlwall herself rose to fame alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jesy Nelson in Little Mix, the group formed on another season of "The X Factor."

Styles later reached out to Thirlwall to apologize for ghosting her. "I saw him … and he was like, 'I'm really sorry that I ignored you,' " she recounted. Podcast host Louis Theroux hit the nail on the head, telling Thirlwall, "He ghosted you."

"I was so young. It didn't really matter," Thirlwall reflected. Now at 32, she looks back with no hard feelings, describing Styles as "very talented" and "very charming." Styles, now 30, has indeed grown into one of the big stars in pop music.

Regarding their personal lives, both have had notable relationships. Styles has famously dated personalities such as Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, and Olivia Wilde. Thirlwall, for her part, is currently in a relationship with Jordan Stephens.
