AceShowbiz - In the intricate tapestry of the music world, few figures are as interestingly poised as Jelly Roll. Straddling the lines of country, rock, and rap, he has fostered relationships with icon like Eminem and fello musician Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), hoping to reconcile their decade-long feud.
Jelly Roll has expressed his aspiration for unity during a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz's "Flagrant" podcast. "My heart is always to bring them together one day," said Jelly Roll. "I see so much more of them in each other than they know."
This heartfelt goal stems from his deep appreciation for both rappers and his unique position, having collaborated with both Eminem and MGK.
The feud between Eminem and MGK dates back to 2012, sparked by MGK's inappropriate comments about Eminem's daughter, Hailie. The antagonism escalated over the years through diss tracks like "Rap Devil" and "Killshot," and suggestions from MGK that Eminem had blacklisted him from certain music platforms.
Despite such tension, Jelly Roll maintains the belief that Eminem's willingness to engage with MGK in lyrical battles signifies respect. "If you got mentioned in an Eminem song, it was like getting mentioned in a comedy special," Jelly Roll emphasized on the podcast. "You couldn't be hotter if you got mentioned in an Eminem [song]."
Interestingly, Eminem might be inching closer to reconciliation. His 2024 release, "Guilty Conscience 2," hints at moving past old grudges and embracing positivity. His playful jest about MGK during a parody interview further suggests a thawing attitude, possibly simplifying Jelly Roll's mission.
Jelly Roll's past challenges, including run-ins with the law and time in jail, have forged a man resilient and passionate about fostering change. "I'm just still kinda glad that I'm in that circumference to be able to have them conversations," he mentioned regarding discussions with Eminem, showing cautious optimism.
