AceShowbiz - Dearest gentle reader, the beloved series "Bridgerton" is officially gearing up for season 4. Netflix has shared a festive gift with fans: a collection of behind-the-scenes snapshots from a recent table read.
The images feature new and familiar faces, including the season's romantic leads Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek), who are seen sharing a warm embrace. Also present are Lady Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), her onscreen daughters Francesca Sterling (Hannah Dodd) and Hyacinth Bridgerton (Florence Hunt), and Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh).
Jonathan Bailey has confirmed his return as Anthony Bridgerton, while Katie Leung, known for her role as Cho Chang in "Harry Potter", will join the cast as Lady Araminta Gun. Leung's character is a twice-widowed woman intent on marrying off her daughters, played by Isabella Wei and Michelle Mao, to one of the Bridgerton brothers.
Adapted from Julia Quinn's novel "An Offer from a Gentleman", season 4 will follow Benedict's journey as he falls head over heels for a mysterious Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball. His quest to find her will lead him to Sophie, a resourceful maid whose true identity remains hidden.
Thompson has described his character's romance with Sophie as "a struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale and the reality of the world." He believes that true love thrives in the middle ground between these extremes.
Filming for season 4 began in September at a new backlot at Shepperton Studios in the U.K., where the cast has been joined by Leung, We, and Mao. Emma Naomi and Hugh Sachs have also been promoted to series regulars as Alice Mondrich and Brimsley, respectively.
While a release date for season 4 has not been announced, it is sure to captivate viewers with its lavish costumes, charming characters and captivating love story.
