AceShowbiz - DDG was trolled after being spotted taking a drive in Halo's new Ferrari. The "Moonwalking in Calabasas" rapper made many social media users believe that he bought the luxury car for himself on his son's recent birthday.
On Tuesday, December 24, a video of the 27-year-old hip-hop artist made its rounds on Instagram. In the short clip, it could be seen that he was sitting behind the wheel of the red vehicle. He was documented cruising around California in the new sports car with the top down.
DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., was alone during the relaxing drive on the sunny day. At one point, he was seen taking some selfies with his smartphone shortly after he stopped the car during the red light. Upon learning that he was being filmed, he apparently tried to hide by putting on the headpiece of his black hoodie.
It did not take long for the post to be flooded with online responses from Instagram users, including those who laughed off DDG's behavior. In the comments section, one in particular wrote, "I knew it was for him," adding a slew of laughing emojis.
Another chimed in, "If the car was a gift to yourself for being a good dad just say that lol." It only took six hours for the particular comment to receive nearly 33,000 likes. Another penned, "When someone gives you cash and your parents say let me hold it for you , to keep it safe ahh energy."
A fourth stated, "Brodie used Halos credit to get the rari! think he slick." A fifth added, "Nothing to see here just a dad driving 'HIS' car that he bought for himself for his sons birthday." A sixth, meanwhile, likened DDG to Safaree Samuels, writing, "DDG and Safaree the same type of n***a I can't explain it."
DDG was previously slammed by many after he showed off the red Ferrari that he purchased for his son's first birthday on Sunday. In response, he seemingly accused the critics of jealousy. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, he told the haters, "n***a mad cuz they son playin hot wheels and mines playin wit ferrari's & M's. Just work harder gang."
