AceShowbiz - Fat Joe landed in hot fire for his comments on Foundation Black American (FBA) groups. During his appearance on Math Hoffa's "My Expert Opinion" podcast, Fat Joe ruffled feathers when he called the groups "radical racists."
"It's a group of these guys that don't want to hear Jamaican, don't want to hear Guyanese, don't want to hear a black guy not down with them, right?" Fat Joe told the host. "So, their job is to criticize anybody who doesn't look like them. Who ain't black American."
Not stopping there, Fat Joe, who's of Puerto Rican descent, doubled down on his criticism by saying, "The FBA, whoever these broke n***as is. I'm just keeping it a buck. And their mission is to attack everyone on Twitter." He continued his rant, "You seen the n***a that's running them? Their leader? You gotta be f**king kidding me, man. So, they're trying to change the narrative. They're not from New York. So, they're telling a whole 'nother story."
According to the organization's website, FBA groups are described as "descendants of enslaved Black people who built the United States from scratch."
Rather unsurprisingly, Fat Joe's comments didn't sit well with some Internet users. "this is why everyone is not accepted to the cookout everyone is not accepted into the cultural group just because they like some Black people and have some black friends doesn't mean they respect all Black people or like the culture itself as a whole remember that," one commented.
"Black Americans created Hip Hop we let everyone get down after the fact. They hate us so much they want to steal our culture for themselves," another noted. Someone else added, "This is what happens when Black Americans don't gate keep from the beginning. Everyone wants take from us then claim we don't have a culture. I'm sick of it."
On the other hand, some others appeared to agree with Joe. "Joe not lying and all this selective outrage is hilarious," one person said. Echoing the sentiment, another penned, "Joe telling the truth."
